Call for Artists

ELEGIBILITY

CALL FOR ENTRIES

The Día de los Muertos Art & Sale Exhibition will represent the traditions our ancestors have left for us, reflecting honor and celebration of the lives of lost loved ones.
 

Artists are invited to test their talents in creating meaningful and unique art forms related to Dia de los Muertos. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • This call for entries is open to all artists over 18 years of age. 

  • Open call for emerging artists and experts

  • Works must be original.

  • Creativity, originality, and clarity in the representation of Dia de los Muertos  and artwork are the selection criteria. 

  • Entries that do not relate to the Dia de los MUertos will not be considered.

  • All accepted artwork must be available for sale.

MEDIA:

  • All types of media are welcome.

  • Painting, ceramics, wood, textiles, photography, glass, illustration (no AI). We reserve the right to request evidence of your process.

  • Paintings must be ready to hang. Wire hangers only with D-RING OR EYE HOOKS (NO sawtooth hangers)

 

DIMENSIONS:

  • Artwork must not exceed 48x48 in

  • Artwork must not exceed 25 lbs

 

SELECTION:

  • All artworks will be included if they meet the established parameters for size and visual content. 

  • If they do not meet these parameters, we reserve the right not to include them in the exhibition, without refund.

 

ENTRY FEE:

  • FOR ONE $25.00  

  • FOR TWO $50.00 

  • FOR THREE $70.00

 

SALES AND COMMISSIONS: 

  • The artist receives 70% of the sale

  • Artist payments will be issued at the conclusion of the show

ART PICK UP SOLD AND NOT SOLD: 

  • MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2026, from 3-6 PM 

  • San Angelo Performing Arts Center / 82 Gillis St., San Angelo, TX 76903

 

  • If you are sending someone else to collect your artwork, please be sure to notify us by sending an email to designs.storming@gmail.com

  • If you do not pick up your artwork, we are not responsible for any damage or loss.

 

  • If you are not a local artist and would like to participate, please ensure your artwork arrives by the deadline.

  • Include a Return Label for your shipment.

  • Email us at designs.storming@gmail.com and we will send you the shipping address.
